Although many couples who plan Philadelphia weddings live in the city or just outside, quite a few opt to host a destination wedding of sorts where the bride and groom return to their hometown. That was the case for Tracie and Matt! The pair currently reside is bustling New York City, but when it came time to plan their celebration, they chose to return to Tracie’s roots. She grew up in Bucks County, where her parents still reside, so Philadelphia became the perfect locale!
Tracie and Matt planned a beautiful black tie wedding at The Westin Philadelphia on November 5, 2016. Whenever such formal attire is mentioned, the invitation needs to look and feel just as glamorous to the couple, their family, and their friends! While designing T+M’s suite, we turned to rose gold and lace – two of Tracie’s must have details.
The invitation featured a lace pattern pressed into it. In the stationery world, the technique is known as debossing or blind letterpress. Simply put, it’s gorgeous! We also used rose gold foil – a detail I could use over and over again – on the invitation’s main piece as well as the inserts. When an invitation is inspired by lace, it’s the only detail to use as a bellyband! We paired beautiful lace together with an ivory ribbon to complete the look.
