Stephanie and James were married during the summer wedding season at St. Matthew’s Church in Northeast Philadelphia. After reciting their vows, they recessed and started their celebration at the Atrium at the Curtis Center. I adore this venue for its modern style, ability to be transformed, and completely open feel. It was the perfect setting to continue their elegant, romantic night with lots of gold in their palette to boot!
While we were designing their invitations, Stephanie and James were quick to note their love for gold foil. I was more than happy to make their dream come true! Often, couples choose to print their entire invitation in gold foil. However, this printing method has so many versatile ways to make an incredible presentation. We chose to do something a little different – only their names were printed in gold foil. The rest of the invitation was printed in black ink, and we opted for the same black ink and fun fonts for all of the inserts. A black and gold invitation is never quite complete without a touch of glitter, and the gold glitter bellyband did a wonderful job keeping the suite together and looking so pretty. I may be biased, but glitter is ALWAYS a good idea.
There was so much continuity for a completely elegant look, and I have to say how much I LOVE every piece! You’re all in for a treat because Lauren Driscoll Photography captured so many fun images of S+J’s suite below; enjoy!
