Although I count down to spring and summer each and every year, there is still something so beautiful about the fall in Bucks County. It typically feels as though it simply appears every year – I find myself glancing at the trees while I drive around town, and I’m always struck by the bright colors as the leaves change over several weeks. Stephanie and Brian always notice the brilliant color of the leaves too, which is why our shared favorite thing about fall became the key detail of their wedding invitation suite.
S+B celebrated their wedding day on October 13, 2018. Their day began when Stephanie walked down the aisle toward Brian at St. Bede the Venerable Church in Southampton, Pennsylvania. And, with that we need to pause. This church is BEAUTIFUL. The natural light filled sanctuary, stained glass, and altar are all gorgeous! It’s so clear why this local pair are so drawn to this church!
Once they were married, Stephanie and Brian retreated to the Pearl S. Buck Estate with their guests. Managed by Jamie Hollander Catering & Events, the venue is located in Perkasie, and it boasts 67 acres of gardens, rolling green lawns, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for weddings inside the historic farmhouse, Cultural Center, Estate Pavilion, and Welcome Center.
To celebrate the changing leaves and views in Bucks County during the fall, leaves in shades of orange, red, and yellow were digitally printed onto the main cream colored invitation piece. I love how a few appear to be blowing in the wind! The important details were also digitally printed in block font, and we decided to switch to script font for Stephanie and Brian’s names. The block and script font pairing continued through the suite’s inserts, which were all tied together by the burgundy palette. The look is elegant and timeless, which was perfect for this couple’s wedding date and locations!
