Styled Shoot

She Walks In Beauty Styled Shoot Table at Knowlton Mansion

Halloween brides, this is a styled shoot just for you! I recently collaborated with, among others, Ashley Gerrity Photography and Creative Eventology to create this romantic scene. We got to put it all together at Knowlton Mansion, a gorgeous Victorian country estate with a conservatory, 13 acres of gardens, and a wine cellar.

The shoot had a very gothic feel to it–deep, rich colors and jewel tones. The tables were covered in candles and an eclectic collection of bottles and bell jars held some beautiful floral arrangements. The aesthetic was inspired by a poem by Lord Byron.

I created menus, table numbers, and escort cards for the shoot. Gold made an appearance on this stationery, as did burgundy and black. The invitation envelopes were lined with gold glitter, and the escort cards were attached to gold-dipped black feathers.

A large part of our inspiration came from the line, “all that’s best of dark and light”. Our bride model wore the light and airy Wing gown from BHLDNMake Me Glam and Up Your Do styled her hair and makeup–a dramatic bouffant updo with red lips.

We headed down to the wine cellar with our bride and groom models after we changed our bride into a lacy black number. The candlelight on the stairway was so romantic!
After that, we headed outside, just in time for the golden hour. The portraits Ashley took are simply stunning!
I’d like to thank all the vendors who were involved in this shoot, and Burnett’s Boards for featuring us on their Gothic wedding ideas post.
