To me, Labor Day Weekend always feels as though summer is offering its final farewell even though the season and its temperatures are far from over. This weekend always brings with it a feeling of being caught in between two seasons. I look forward to afternoons spent outside and barbecues lasting into the still warm evenings, but there are also moments when I find myself look ahead toward the fall. Layering starts to feel appropriate, warm drinks start to sound delicious once more, and darker hued color palettes are again on my radar.
Because I feel as though I’m balancing in between two seasons, I thought I would pull together romantic fall wedding inspiration for you to enjoy along with me. I love outdoor weddings, especially those that happen during the fall. The weather is still warm enough for outdoor ceremonies, the foliage adds its own element to every color palette, and some of the best flowers and fruits (hello, dahlias and figs!) are reaching their seasonal peak.
Below you will find many of the elements I just mentioned, plus an inclusion of a few of my favorite fall foods – soup and apple cider donuts! If you’re planning a wedding like this one with its burgundy, mustard, blush, ivory, and green palette, I would love to design your save-the-dates, invitations, and day of stationery, or even simply attend as a guest.
What are you looking forward to most about the impending fall season? Let me know in the comments!
