As much as I love the summer, I am reminded each and every year why the fall is one of the most beautiful seasons to experience in Bucks County. The leaves on the trees are changing every way you turn, and the ones that fall to the ground only add more texture and color to our already beautiful landscape. October, in particular, is such a beautiful month in which to get married, and I’m so thrilled Stephanie and Brian enjoyed a gorgeous day filled with shades of burgundy and orange last year on October 13, 2018.
When Stephanie and Brian met with me, they mentioned they wanted to embrace the colors of the leaves as well as the fall season as a whole. An invitation with leaves on it was a natural choice, and their suite inspired so many other details that you will catch a peek of soon!
On their wedding day, Brian got ready at a nearby hotel; however, Stephanie chose to get ready at her parent’s home. They thoughtfully hung a sign in their family room, and Asya Photography’s team even captured Stephanie’s wedding dress in the space! Stephanie and her dad enjoyed a first look together in their home as well, where she presented him with a sweet monogramed tie. I can only imagine how wonderful it was to get ready for such a big day in a space that is not only beautiful but also completely comfortable.
S+B saw each other for the first time when she walked down the aisle at St. Bede the Venerable in Southampton, Pennsylvania, and their ceremony was outlined in programs I designed. The church has gorgeous natural light that is only made more beautiful by the stained-glass windows. After they were officially married, Stephanie and Brian recessed down the aisle and prepared to celebrate with their guests at the nearby Pearl S. Buck Estate.
I’m so thrilled these two enjoyed such gorgeous weather on their wedding day because it meant they had plenty of time and light to capture fabulous portraits together and with their bridal party on the grounds of their venue. They stepped inside the greenhouse; the warm stone provided a lovely backdrop; and the red of the barn added a rustic feel. Everywhere you turn at the Pearl S. Buck House, there’s another spot that can easily serve as a location for photos!
During cocktail hour, guests caught their first glimpse at some of the pieces I designed for Stephanie and Brian’s reception. Custom signs asks guests to leave their fingerprint on the couple’s guest book, and they were also instructed to take a koozie for their next tailgate. S+B are Penn State grads and fans of both their college football team and the Eagles, so nods to their wedding happening during football season were necessary! They could also peep their seating assignment, and they knew which table was theirs thanks to the table numbers. I loved designing all of these pieces, which wove Stephanie and Brian’s original leaf details throughout.
Guests gathered in the tent where they watched and joined in as Stephanie and Brian danced together and with their parents. Everyone dined on a wonderful meal, and the celebration continued until the last song played. I absolutely love everything about S+B’s wedding day, and I’m so happy to have played a part. Happy First Anniversary, Stephanie and Brian! xo
