Friends, I am about to share one of the sweetest wedding days with you in honor of Wedding Wednesday! I am so thrilled for you to meet Kailie and Dave as I share all of the details behind their September 9, 2017 soiree. K+D tied the knot at the American Swedish Historical Museum. The venue is managed by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, so this pair 100% had a fantastic team behind them. The space is located in Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park in the heart of Philadelphia. Between the park setting and the incredible grounds at the museum, Kailie and Dave had a host of gorgeous photo opportunities. And, that’s before they even began their formal wedding festivities!
Kailie and Dave prepped for their late summer wedding day separately, and I have to take a moment to praise their photographer Alexa of Alexa Nahas Photography. From the bride and her bridesmaids to her first look with her father, to Dave in his final moments before he saw his bride, the getting ready photos Alexa captured are so thoughtful.
Kailie and Dave did opt to do a first look prior to their ceremony, and I love every moment Alexa shared from this part of their day! K+D are both so excited to see each other, and they were able to capture gorgeous portraits as a result. Plus, there are also a number of beautiful shots of the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Once it was time for their ceremony, the bride and groom moved inside the American Swedish Historical Museum. I love how Kailie walked down the aisle on the arm of her father and then ascended the stairs to marry Dave. Their wedding party lined either side of the aisle too. Plus, guests were seated along either side of the aisle, but what’s even more fun are the guests who are looking down at the bride, groom, and wedding party from the balconies. It’s as though Kailie and Dave were surrounded by support every which way they turned!
Post ceremony, K+D retreated outside once more to the tent at the American Swedish Historical Museum. The color palette the couple chose looked stunning in the tent! Tables were draped with French blue linens, centerpieces with French blue, blush, pink, red, and ivory blooms filled added a host of rustic color to the scape, and wooden table numbers were added to the mix too! I also had the great pleasure of designing a welcome sign, signs for the bar and dessert, a seating chart, and place cards that welcomed guests to their seats at their tables.
The dance floor was packed for the entire night, and Kailie and Dave did not let their guests leave until they had plenty of treats. Donuts served as dessert and monogram pretzels acted as favors and a late night snack. As I’m sure you can tell, I greatly enjoyed teaming up with Kailie, Dave, and the Creative Eventology team to design details for their wonderful wedding day. Happy (almost) First Anniversary to you! Thank you for including me in your day. xo
