From the start, Judy and Alain have always shared a love for Villanova University. And, why shouldn’t they? Every last detail about the campus and the college is fabulous! And, they’re not the only ones with a strong passion for it. In fact, Judy contacted me because I have previously designed save the dates for other Villanova couples. I’m thrilled to have designed a wedding invitation (and much more!) just for Judy and Alain.
The pair were married on October 8, 2016. They kicked off their days separately with time spent getting ready with friends and family before their ceremony on Villanova’s campus in Rosemont, Pennsylvania in the famed Main Line area. Judy walked down the stunning aisle of St. Thomas of Villanova toward Alain where they exchanged their vows. Naturally, the stunning landmark deserved an illustration, so I created a custom illustration of the church for their programs. It was printed using silver foil stamping on the invitation, but we chose to switch to digital for the ceremony programs.
Post ceremony, the pair, along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, posed for wedding party photos inside and just outside of the church. It’s safe to say, it’s difficult for any church to top the beauty of St. Thomas of Villanova!
Judy and Alain rejoined their guests for another elegant part of their day – their celebration at the nearby Desmond Hotel in Malvern! The new Mr. and Mrs. transformed their space with luscious florals, damask chair covers, and tons of navy and silver (perfect colors all year round!). I also was thrilled to add more custom day-of paper details by designing the custom signage for escort cards, guestbook, and signature drinks, as well as table numbers and menu tent cards.
Not only was their wedding luxurious, but it’s so very clear these two know how to have fun. Their first dance included light up sneakers, Judy and her dad wore fedoras during their father daughter dance, and Alain’s mom looked gorgeous during her dance with her son.
Of course, a photo complete with friends and Villanova’s flag had to happen on the dance floor before Judy and Alain walked through a sea of sparklers during their special wedding exit.
Judy and Alain, I’m so honored to have designed so many Villanova themed pieces for your elegant wedding day. I also have to give a huge thank you to Krista Patton Photography for capturing your wedding day so lovely! Congratulations again, Judy and Alain!
