I think the warmer temperatures we are currently experiencing are just the calm before the winter storm, friends! That’s why today feels like the perfect time to share this gorgeous winter wedding captured by John Barone Photography. Jill and Dominic are about to celebrate their first anniversary in just a few short weeks because they were married on December 17, 2016. From the plaid the girls wore while getting ready to the forest green of their invitation suite, not to mention the dusting of snow on the ground, J+D fully embraced the beginning of the winter season.
The pair prepped for their wedding day separately, and just a quick peek at the photos will tell you that Jill and her bridesmaids had fun! There’s nothing quite like quality time with all of your favorite ladies together, and quality time while wearing festive plaid can’t be beat.
Once the group was ready, they traveled to Philadelphia for Jill and Dominic’s ceremony at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Philadelphia. Just like so many of the other churches in the city, this one is stunning! And, I still feel honored to have designed their ceremony programs.
Post ceremony, the group captured a number of fun shots together. The neutral and historic buildings provided a wonderful, seasonally appropriate backdrop. The forest green dresses truly popped, not to mention the gorgeous bouquets.
A wedding isn’t quite complete without a reception, and the Sheraton Society Hill offered J+D and all of their guests a warm welcome. Guests were greeted by a seating chart I designed and digitally printed with holly – a detail I loved. Plus, they also caught their first glimpse of the wedding cake. I love the gold glitter Mr. and Mrs. cake topper! Not to mention, everyone was able to dance the night away in a lovely space to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs.
Jill and Dominic, I love how much you embraced winter rather than shying away from the season. As a fellow winter bride, I so admire you! Congratulations on your first anniversary.
