I could not have been more thrilled to create all of the stationery pieces for Erika and Antonio’s beautiful wedding in Philadelphia on May 16, 2015, which was also featured on Philadelphia Wedding’s blog! For Erika, choosing her wedding date was incredibly meaningful because it will serve as a constant way to honor her late mother and father who were also married on the same date. These two could not have been more deserving.
Erika, Antonio, and I worked together for a year to create their stationery beginning with their engagement party. The invitations were printed on beautiful pearl metallic stock, and I love that they also included bright pink and grey – two colors that were featured prominently in their wedding day palette! Next, I designed their save-the-dates, which featured black and silver accents and photos captured by Jenn Erickson Photography. Their wedding invitations featured bright pink ink printed on pearl metallic paper. Each piece also featured two more layers – one with silver glitter paper and another with silver card stock.
Erika and Antonio recited their vows at Saint Albert the Great Roman Catholic Church in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. I loved designing their wedding programs, which featured bright pink script just like their engagement party and wedding invitations. A bright pink bow tied each piece together.
Post ceremony, Erika and Antonio celebrated with their guests at the lovely Le Meridien in Philadelphia. Menus printed with bright pink script greeted guests at their seats, and table numbers printed on pearl metallic stock and accented with silver glitter paper and silver card stock completed the look.
For two people who have experienced unimaginable loss – Erika’s mother died from breast cancer when she was two; her father passed away just two months before her wedding day; and Antonio’s father passed away just one week prior to their wedding – I am so honored to have been apart of a day that was still filled with beauty, joy, and so much love.
Thank you so much to Master Studio Photography for sharing these photos with me!
