If you were to hear the words “blush pink wedding dress”, what would you say in return? My response was along the lines of “oh my word”. If that doesn’t provide enough of a hint into the beauty that’s about to unfold in today’s Wedding Wednesday post, perhaps the following will help the cause!
Emma and Greg tied the knot on October 7, 2017 in what I am deeming one of the most fabulous soirees to ever take place at Finley Catering’s Union Trust. The beauty began long before their wedding day when I had the distinct honor of working with E+G to design their wedding invitations. Emma and Greg were inspired by love birds, rose gold, and a luxurious feel, so I combined all three to create their semi-custom invitation suite that was filled with just the right amount of glamour. I’m sure they’re guests agreed too!
Emma and Greg each prepped for their wedding day with their respective parties at Hotel Monaco. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again (and again!) – this Philadelphia hotel is a perfect spot to get ready. The rooms are spacious, and the décor is as comfortable and welcoming as it is photogenic! The space served as a wonderful spot to get their fun day off on the right foot!
Emma and Greg met for photos in downtown Philadelphia. The park where they were captured had beautiful light, and this group could not have looked more elegant. I loved Emma’s choice to ask her bridesmaids to wear black dresses, and the one-shoulder style looked so flattering on all of the girls. Plus, Greg and his gents were clad in classic black tuxedos. This crew definitely looked the part! Plus, again, Emma’s dress was blush pink.
During their ceremony, Emma descended the stairs at Union Trust before linking arms with her father to walk down the rest of the aisle. It was a fantastic and dramatic entrance into one of the most gorgeous ceremony spaces I’ve ever seen! The combination of the lights and tall florals is not a look I will soon forget.
Post ceremony, guests mingled together with the bride, groom, and bridal party before moving into the reception space. They remained at Union Trust (and why would you not?!), and the tables looked wonderfully glamorous. Table numbers highlighted the couple’s love for Penn State and so did an ice sculpture, tall and lush blush and ivory florals were placed in the center of every table, a monogram decorated the dance floor, the couple cut into an ivory and gold cake, and guests went home with “We Are…Married” custom cookie favors as another nod to their favorite university.
I had the honor of designing escort cards and an escort card sign and the table numbers I mentioned above. Plus, I also created the bar, sweets, and flip flop signs. And, the stationery didn’t end at the wedding! E+G opted to send custom thank you notes that I designed to their guests post wedding. Every detail was printed onto shimmery blush card stock as a nod to the bride’s dress and the pair’s blush, rose gold, and black color palette.
I’m certain you can already tell, but I adore every moment of Emma and Greg’s wedding. Their details are gorgeous, their dance floor photos are full of fun, and this couple could not be any kinder if they tried. Thank you for trusting me, E+G! And, thank you We Laugh We Love for capturing this unreal day so well. xo
