Today, I’m celebrating Courtney and Ivan! I met C+I while they were designing their wedding invitations. They immediately fell in love with the look and feel of a gold pocketfold suite I had previously created, and we reimagined the design together because the pair loved the idea of a double layer invitation with a bellyband and a monogram square. Courtney and Ivan’s suite was a great way to kickoff their preppy, timeless, and classic soiree!
C+I started their wedding day by getting ready with their wedding party. Then they met on the streets of Philadelphia for their first look. I love first look photos because they are always filled with so much heartfelt emotion (and likely a release of nerves!), plus they allow couples to truly soak in a few moments together before they’re surrounded by family and friends for the rest of the day.
Courtney walked down the aisle toward Ivan at Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Their ceremony was filled with plenty of cultural traditions, and I designed their wedding programs. I’m certain their vows were a joyful start to their wedding day with their guests!
After their ceremony, Courtney and Ivan spent the evening celebrating with their guests at the American Swedish Historical Museum. Located in Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park, the museum has indoor and outdoor spaces for receptions (and ceremonies!). I love how C+I took advantage of the indoor stairs by capturing a photo with all of their guests. It’s such a great way to have a photo with their entire group!
Courtney and Ivan hosted their guests in a tent outside of the American Swedish Historical Museum. I created custom signage, and guests collected escort cards I designed from green apple holders. Tables adorned with navy and ivory linens awaited everyone. Courtney carried a bouquet filled with ivory blooms, and the couple’s centerpieces incorporated the same color palette. All danced the night away, and I’m certain C+I are wishing they could relive their wedding day as October 17 approaches once more.
Thank you so much to Georgi Anastasov Photography for capturing these images; they are beautiful and completely timeless just like the couple! xo
