Today’s real wedding is a winter soiree done oh-so-right! Please join me in celebrating Colleen and Matt!
I first introduced you to C+M when I revealed their burgundy laser cut wedding invitation suite. The palette of the suite offered a wonderful hint about their wedding day color palette, plus the suite also revealed their love for laser cut details – something we used often throughout their wedding day details!
The pair spent the morning getting ready with their wedding party, and I have to give so much credit to Colleen and Matt’s photographer, Jessica of Jessica Hendrix Photography. Matt’s mom sadly passed away only a few weeks before their wedding day, and the thoughtful way Jessica captured the letter Matt and Colleen wrote to his mom that was displayed in the wedding programs I designed is beautiful. I’m certain guests were equally as touched to see it.
After a sweet first look with her dad, Colleen went outside in the rain for her first look with Matt. These two looked so happy to finally see each other on their wedding day, and I have to say how much I love Colleen’s bouquet! The succulents are perfect for a wintertime wedding. I also love how the couple and their wedding party did not shy away from taking photos as a group in the rain!
Colleen and Matt had planned to host their ceremony indoors at Cescaphe Event Group’s Vie. The space looked gorgeous and elegant, which played perfectly with their aesthetic from their wedding invitation suite. The backdrop for their ceremony even included string lights which looked fabulous in photos, and I’m certain it looked equally as wonderfully in person!
Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs., Colleen and Matt rejoined their guests for their cocktail hour. During this time, their laser cut escort cards were revealed. While I did not design this piece, I can confirm their calligrapher followed the laser cut invitation’s design. This kind of collaboration is always a fun treat!
Guests danced and dined the night away at Colleen and Matt’s Vie reception, and the nods they made to schools that are important to them, including Germantown Academy and the University of Scranton, were fun and on point for a pair who loves to honor those in their lives.
Colleen and Matt, thank you so much for entrusting me with your wedding invitations and ceremony programs. I loved working with you, and I feel honored to share your day on my blog! xo
