You have already gotten to know Carolann and Dan a few times on the blog. First, I shared their chic and minimal black and gold foil save the date. Then I shared the next piece in their stationery journey – their wedding invitation. This piece was equally as chic and minimal as their save the date, and I love how we completed this piece by incorporating script fonts, black letterpress, gold foil, and gold gilded edges. Today, it’s all about their wedding day. And, I seriously hope you’re sitting down because this wedding is FABULOUS.
Carolann and Dan kicked off their wedding day by getting ready with their respective bridesmaids and groomsmen. I loved the peek at Dan’s monogramed cuffs. The pure, sweet emotion on Carolann’s dad’s face when he saw his daughter for the first time in her dress will continue to be etched in my mind. And, let’s all pause and talk about this dress. It was designed by Badgley Mischka, and I think it’s safe to say Carolann’s dress is, hands down, my (current) favorite gown I have ever featured. Those details, friends! They’re glamourous and out of this world.
C+D officially tied the knot at Old St Mary’s Church in Philadelphia. I was thrilled to design another piece for their wedding! This time, I created ceremony programs. Plus, I also have to say Dan looks like he was simply so excited to marry Carolann. His simple joy is a feeling (and emotion!) I hope all couples experience on their wedding day, during their wedding portraits, throughout their reception, and far beyond.
With such an admiration for modern, minimal design, Carolann and Dan’s wedding venue, Cescaphe Event Group’s Atrium at Curtis Center, feels as though it was made just for them. Guests were invited to sip on their signature cocktail, a French 75, thanks to custom drink signs I designed. Beyond the signs, C+D chose to transform the space with the same thoughtful consideration given to their stationery. Beautiful details were added (the bouquets surrounding the cake make it such a standout moment in the space!), and I love the pops of color. However, these two stayed true to their classic, chic roots, and it shows…beautifully.
Carolann and Dan, your Philadelphia wedding was one for the books, and I loved building upon your initial save the date as I continued to design pieces for your wedding day. Congratulations! Also, Breanne Furlong, you captured this day perfectly.
