Ashley and Chris blessed their marriage on August 24th, 2013, in Baltimore. MISA ME Photography provided some spectacular photos of the event, so let’s jump right in!
The vibrant pink flowers of Ashley’s bouquet played an important thematic role throughout the wedding. I used it on the border of their wedding invitations, which you may remember from this post. In addition to hot pink and navy, the wedding had a nautical theme, which manifested in some incredibly cool wedding stationery designs. As a Philadelphia wedding stationery designer, I rarely get to work this closely with ocean-related themes, so this wedding was a rare treat!
There’s that fabulous shade of pink again! Ashley’s bridesmaids were radiant in that color. The ceremony took place at Our Lady of the Fields Church, a Catholic church in Millersville, Maryland. Afterward, the wedding party journeyed to the waterfront to take portraits.
The groomsmen’s light-colored suits and blue polka dot ties are perfect for a summer wedding reception on the waterfront! I absolutely love this color palette.
These escort cards were too cute! I printed each with a hot pink crab and used the same font as the invitation, and each guest had a picture of an animal that corresponded with what they were having for dinner. Adorable!
Ashley and Chris had their wedding reception at the Pier 5 Hotel’s Harbor Club, which offers panoramic views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Such a great choice of venue–the lighting in there is amazing!
I adore these table settings. Hot pink orchids float inside glass vases topped with buoying candles, and the linens are a subtly striped white. Simple, elegant, yet creative! For the table numbers, I kept with the nautical theme of the evening with navy seersucker bows, an anchor between the couples’ initials, and a knot of rope to hold each number in place. Congratulations again, Ashley and Chris! Your wedding was so much fun to work on, and these pictures are absolutely stunning.
