I am constantly amazed by the wedding venues in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. There are industrial spaces downtown that honor the city’s modernity, and there are spaces outside that are so beautifully historic with carefully designed gardens tucked throughout that cause Philadelphia to feel miles and miles away. Today we’re off to Brantwyn Estate, which definitely falls into the latter category. Owned by Dupont Country Club and located in Wilmington, Delaware, this historical property is just stunning. There are beautiful spaces inside for receptions, and the outdoor grounds are just beckoning for a completely garden inspired ceremony. Thankfully, Arielle and Matthew were equally as inspired by their venue for their September 22, 2017 wedding day, and I can’t wait for you to see all of the details!
I knew A+M’s venue was gorgeous when we were designing their wedding invitation. The rose gold foil piece included a lovely illustration of the exact spot outside where their ceremony was held. I love details like this one because it offers a peek inside the fun to come for guests, but it also represents a detail with deep meaning for the couple.
Arielle and Matthew spent time prepping for their celebration with their wedding party in advance of their ceremony. Once it was time for Arielle to walk down the aisle, she glided toward Matthew in a ceremony that looked as though it was straight out of a dream. Two incredible floral arrangements from A Garden Party lined either side of the aisle, lanterns were placed at the base of rows, and candles were scattered throughout the trees serving as a backdrop. Arielle’s mom later said, “It’s exactly what Arielle always wanted.” That’s such a huge testament to the team from A Garden Party! And, it truly was gorgeous.
Post ceremony, guests were treated to an indoor reception that was filled, and I mean filled, with florals. Beautiful burgundy and pink florals adorned each table’s centerpiece, and lush greenery was also included throughout. Plus, the fireplace mantle was even outfitted with a garland! The space truly felt as though A Garden Party had brought the same whimsical, magical feelings created outside inside.
After completely enjoying my experience of creating Arielle and Matthew’s wedding invitation, I was thrilled when they asked me to design stationery for their wedding day as well. I created custom signage for their guest book, signature drinks, sparkler sendoff, and flip flops. Plus, I also designed menus that were placed at each guest’s setting.
After a night of dancing and fun with their family and friends, Matthew had one more surprise in store for Arielle – a horse drawn carriage! The pair left the reception in fairytale style, and I cannot think of two people who deserve such a sweet and memorable ending more. I am so thrilled with the photos Karmapants Photography captured, and I cannot wait for A+M to celebrate their first anniversary. What a wedding, friends!
