Alison and Guillaume have the most romantic love story! They met in Nepal, and continued their relationship long-distance until Guillaume proposed in Paris. On May 9th, 2015, their loved ones made the journey to Alison’s parents’ home in West Chester to celebrate their union! I was lucky enough to design save the dates for this wedding, as well as custom wedding invitations and custom day-of wedding stationery.
I letterpressed Alison and Guillaume’s custom wedding invitations with both Strawberry Ice and black ink, including the peony motif from their save the dates. The inserts, including a custom map, were printed digitally.
Alison is the founder of Toggery, a collection of women’s wear based in Philadelphia. Her sense of fashion informed the color story for this wedding. The central color is Strawberry Ice, a refreshing yet warm shade from the Pantone Spring 2015 palette.
The intimate wedding ceremony included just family and a few close friends. Afterward, everyone journeyed to Philadelphia for a reception at the Morris House Hotel.
The final touches for Alison and Guillaume’s wedding reception were a cocktail menu sign and a sign thanking all of their guests, and describing the food available. Both used strawberry ice and the font from Alison and Guillaume’s wedding invitation suite.
As you can see, the wine and food of France are heavily represented–and so is the Philadelphia region! The French wine list is accompanied by a selection of beers from Victory, a local brewery. The cocktails offered were the French 75, the Manhattan, and a delicious-sounding rosemary-infused vodka lemonade.
No French menu would be complete without cheese! The desserts on Alison and Guillaume’s menu are quintessentially French, too–macarons and croquembouche, a pyramid of little filled pastry balls held together with threads of caramel. Sounds divine!
Thank you to Morby Photography for these images! They are beautiful. Alison and Guillaume, thank you for making me a part of your love story.
