Two of the things I love the most are families and technology, and I am always in awe when they combine to create experiences for my clients and, as a result, for my business. I was so thrilled when Sara and Brandon contacted me to design their wedding invitations. S+B tied the knot at Stueckle Sky Center in Idaho, and their family was planning to celebrate in their home state again for Kristin and Jermone’s wedding day!
When Kristin contacted me, I was reminded again how much I adore working with her and her family. Her wedding to Jerome was going to be different than Sara and Brandon’s soiree. K+J were planning their celebration at St. John’s Cathedral in Boise, Idaho and Chateau des Fleurs in nearby Eagle, Idaho. Just a quick peek at their venue will tell you so much about it. It’s incredibly elegant and luxurious, thanks to the textiles used throughout the space, the rich color palette, and the multiple ballrooms, so it won’t come as a surprise that these two needed a luxurious suite to match the aesthetic!
Kristin and Jerome loved the idea of incorporating laser cut, so that’s where we began. The laser cut detailing was designed to look like gates, and the white shimmer added to the elegance. Once the gates opened on either side of K+J’s suite, the rest of their gold foil, white, and black suite was revealed. The suite featured a lovely flourish design that accented the gates beautifully, and the main piece was printed onto white shimmer paper, which was layered on top of gold paper. The inserts featured the same flourish details to add cohesion, and the entire suite was held together with black satin ribbon and a gold wax seal complete with Kristin and Jerome’s two-letter monogram. I have to be transparent: I am still in love with how this suite turned out.
