The best invitations are those that are so classic time does not age them one bit! Back in 2014 (oh my word, time flies!), I designed an ivory, gold, and teal invitation for Abby and Warner’s wedding. It had thermography and flourishes, and I loved it! So, when Luis contacted me saying he and Mario were dreaming of a suite similar to A+W’s, I was on board right from the beginning!
L+M are proud residents of Miami, and they were planning to welcome their guests to The Historic Lakeside Inn, which is also located in Florida. After mentioning how much he loved Abby and Warner’s suite, Luis asked if we could make a few changes to create a more whimsical feel. So, we did!
Luis and Mario’s color palette included gold thermography and ivory stock just like A+W’s suite, but we switched the font to one that felt much more whimsical, which was perfect for the pair. Plus, I have to say how much I LOVE their forest green and navy plaid envelope liner. To this day, it feels so dapper and fun just like these two gents! And, their liner matched their save the date, which I also designed. The best part of working with couples is seeking design elements repeated throughout their engagement season.
