One of the most beautiful venues outside of Philadelphia is tucked away just outside of the city in Bucks County. It’s located moments away from the heart of downtown New Hope, and it’s called Hotel Du Village. It’s part wedding venue and part bed and breakfast, and every inch of it is curated and designed with such love and care. So, it’s not a surprise that Lisa and John chose to celebrate their wedding day at such an iconic locale.
The venue and the property that surrounds it are very romantic, so we took that inspiration and ran with it while we were designing Lisa and John’s wedding invitations. They wanted their color palette to focus on shades of mauve, dusty rose, and a few pops of metallic. And it’s safe to say, we had plenty of ideas at our fingertips to bring this suite to life!
Their wedding invitation incorporated all of the colors on their wishlist. The main invitation piece had laser cut (my favorite detail) in shades of dusty rose and mauve, and that was paired with a metallic cream-colored piece where all of the details were printed. Then we used more cream-colored metallic on all of the inserts and brought back shades of dusty rose through the envelopes. The combination was definitely romantic, but it was also elegant and timeless—and everything was tied together with a satin ribbon.
Between the color combination and the wonderful Bucks County wedding setting, I can’t imagine a more fitting wedding invitation to send to guests than the one I designed for Lisa and John. I think you will agree once you take a look at the photos Haley Richter Photography captured and styled!
