While you’re planning your wedding and deciding which photographer will capture your day best, you might spot an inclusion within a package that says “engagement session”. This session is so important because it allows you and your love to become more comfortable in front of the camera in advance of your wedding day. Plus, it offers your photographer a chance to get to know you. The importance of this session is clear, and you also receive the wonderful benefit of having photos you can use on your save-the-dates!
Time spent at the beach and by the ocean is so important to Lisa and John. When they were choosing where to capture their engagement session, the beach was an easy location choice to make! Their white attire paired with the greens, blues, and tans of the beach look fabulous together. When Lisa, John, and I were chatting about their save the dates, they loved the idea of mailing their guests photos from their engagement session.
Although their Hotel du Village wedding in New Hope would prominently feature mauve, we opted not to include it in this piece in order for everyone’s eyes to solely focus on the couple and the beautiful location that surrounded them in their photos. Their save-the-date included three photos from their engagement session collaged together. Then we printed the details below (a wedding date, location, and website are always important!) in block text. The result is a classic piece I’m sure guests loved receiving, especially because Lisa and John took centerstage!
Take a peek below to see more from Lisa and John’s beach save-the-date, which was captured by Haley Richter Photography.
