I think the wedding industry has a new buzz word (or words, in this case!), and it’s classic wedding. It seems everything I read and everywhere I look, this type of wedding is trending. But, I have a question for you. Is something that’s so timeless really a trend because it can’t, nor will it, ever truly go out of style? Whatever you believe or feel, I have to say I’m grateful classic weddings seem to be back and here to stay for the long haul.
One of the most classic wedding suites I’ve designed recently was for Laura and Paul. These two got married on June 10, 2017, and they hosted their family and friends at Cescaphe Event Group’s Vie but not before they recited their vows at Old Saint Joseph’s Church. L+P said they loved classic style, so classic style is what they had!
Laura was always drawn toward pocketfold invitations. She wanted something very elegant (and classic, of course!), so I suggested we digitally print black script and block fonts onto ivory metallic paper. All of the inserts also kept the script and block font theme, and they too were printed onto the same paper. Consistency helps to tie a suite together! Another detail we added to complete this look is their monogram. We layered Laura and Paul’s monogram onto gold mirror card stock, which perfectly resembled gold foil, and allowed this piece to hold the pocketfold together.
Laura and Paul, I can’t imagine a more fitting way to ask your guests to celebrate your day than with this wedding invitation that exuded elegance, luxury, and classic style. Thanks to Carly Fuller Photography for capturing this fabulous piece!
