I love when couples want to get creative with the design of their save the date, so I had so much fun designing Kelsey and Bobby’s rustic piece! With a country club wedding in mind, golf gear, like clubs and golf balls, were at the forefront. But, in order to attempt to par, scorecards and golf pencils are important too. So, we decided to take inspiration from golf’s stationery pieces!
With Bluestone Country Club as their backdrop, Kelsey and Bobby celebrated their wedding day on June 14. The grounds at Bluestone are beautiful and summer is known for its flowers, so we included a few of the blooms synonymous with the season, like hydrangeas and eucalyptus, on the front of the save the date. As pretty as flowers are, my favorite details in this piece were those closely tied to the text. K+B wanted to say “Pencil us in” to their guests, so we tied the exact piece guests would need to do just that to the save the date with pink twine – a classic golf pencil directly from Bluestone Country Club!
With such carefully selected details on their save the date alone, I can only imagine Kelsey and Bobby’s wedding set inside the Carriage House was equally as summery, elegant, and whimsical! I think you will agree after taking a closer look at the photos Haley Richter Photography captured below.
