I previously shared how thrilled I was to work with Kelsey and Bobby on their save-the-dates for their Bluestone Country Club wedding. Today I’m back to share more about the next piece of wedding stationery that was mailed to their guests, their wedding invitation!
Kelsey loves clean details and neutral palettes, and she also loves flowers, which was evident when we designed their save-the-dates. When we were searching for inspiration for their wedding invitation, I knew flowers needed to play a role. Kelsey and Robert also loved the idea of incorporating laser cut, which I never need to be asked about twice! From there, I dove in to create a suite I hoped they would love.
When guests revealed the invitation from the envelope, they were met with a light blush pink bellyband that had Kelsey and Robert’s names and wedding date digitally printed on it in navy script and block fonts, respectively. Then their eyes immediately went to the intricate details featured on the floral laser cut. The design acted like a gate to the rest of the suite!
Inside, the main invitation piece was revealed, which featured ivory florals and greenery in the corners of the piece. Digitally printed script and block fonts onto the invitation and each of the inserts worked best to keep Kelsey’s clean aesthetic in mind. Each insert also featured more florals as well as pertinent details about their celebration.
Haley Richter Photography captured everything I loved about this suite beautifully below. I think you will agree we mixed elegance and classic style together with a touch of whimsy perfectly for Kelsey and Robert’s late spring wedding day at St. Frances Cabrini and Bluestone Country Club.
