I have heard one of the places to experience in Pennsylvania is Lancaster, so I was particularly excited when Katherine and Roy contacted me to design their save the date! K+R are in the middle of planning their winter wedding at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. According to their website, the Cork Factory Hotel is actually a converted factory. Armstrong Cork and Kerr Glass companies both once took up residence, and the Cork Factory Hotel has done a wonderful job of preserving the history and industrial feel of the space.
Katherine and Roy wanted their save the date to have a modern luxurious feel with a touch of whimsy, so I turned to cork paper complete with gold flecks as a nod to their venue for the envelope liners. The gold foil detail was also incorporated into their save the date’s main piece. The main piece featured modern block and script fonts printed using gold foil, and I was particularly drawn toward the elegance created by the simplicity of the piece.
