Alex and Justine celebrated becoming Mr. and Mrs. on November 26, 2016 at a wonderfully timed post-Thanksgiving soiree! Just before their wedding day, I shared their save the date – a beautiful piece that incorporated their modern style with a hint of rose gold. Today, I’m back again to share their wedding invitation! It’s as though everything has come full circle.
Justine is originally from Bucks County, and the pair reside in New York City. In order to celebrate her Philadelphia roots, their wedding day kicked off at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. It’s one of the most stunning churches in Philadelphia (with an excellent location near The Logan to boot!), and it provided the perfect inspiration for their envelopes (more on that in a minute!). After their ceremony, the pair continued their fete at Cescaphe Event Group’s Atrium at Curtis Center, which I’m sure J+A only enhanced with their exquisite aesthetic!
With such a beautiful space serving as the place where Justine and Alex would exchange vows, I opted to design a sketch of the Basilica for the envelope liner. I printed it in rose gold foil (one of my favorite of-the-moment details!), and I love the fact it was the very first detail to catch guests’ eyes when they opened their modern mail.
The invitation featured a double layer design complete with a pocket on the back, which served as the perfect place to neatly tuck away all of the inserts. Further, invitation pieces had a gorgeous rose gold foil border, and we used modern fonts to keep the suite’s style in mind. Off white paper was the base for each piece, and I also carefully incorporated gold shimmer and rose gold papers before the suite was placed inside a shimmery cream colored envelope ready to debut in mailboxes throughout the area!
All of the photos captured by Carly Fuller Photography make the suite look even more beautiful! Make sure to take a peek below.
