The Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the Constitution Center are all located moments away from each other in Philadelphia. So, it’s safe to say there isn’t a shortage of history in my home city! Julieanna and Richard wanted to embrace Philadelphia’s history, so they chose to celebrate their wedding ceremony and reception at the Hotel Monaco.
Other than embracing history, Julieanna and Richard also wanted to incorporate timeless and modern styles into their wedding day. The Hotel Monaco is known for both (their classic guest rooms are perfect for getting ready, while their event spaces introduce modern style), so we didn’t have to look too far for inspiration.
When guests first opened the invitation, they were greeted by beautiful rose gold details. We incorporated both the skyline and the LOVE statue into this part of the suite, which I think set the tone so well. Then the pocket fold invitation was revealed. My favorite detail of this piece is the rose gold bellyband that we paired with a Liberty Bell monogram square!
The main suite had more Philadelphia details, including a modern take on the skyline (love the rose gold!) as well as a fun modern map. We knew we wanted to include more timeless elements here, so thoughtfully placed script and block fonts were in order. Everything was digitally printed in black to create a cohesive look, and we carried the same luxurious feel over to the pocket fold, which featured black shimmery paper, and the inserts, which were done in cream shimmery paper.
As you can tell, Julieanna and Richard’s wedding invitation suite will provide plenty of inspiration for months to come, and I can’t wait for you to see more when you look through the photos Haley Richter Photography captured. I think you will be able to tell this is one of my favorite modern and classic suites to date!
