There isn’t a better way to start today’s blog than a note from the bride herself! From Judy: “My fiancé (Alain Duroseau) and I started dating our sophomore year at Villanova University in 2007 and we’ve been together ever since! Alain proposed on April 25, 2015 in front of the St. Thomas of Villanova Church, complete with the Villanova band, cheer leaders, dance team, mascot and over 50 of our closest friends and family.”
With such an incredible proposal, it won’t come as a surprise that Villanova and St. Thomas of Villanova Church served as two major points of inspiration for Judy and Alain’s elegant and classic custom invitation suite! I loved creating a custom illustration of the church, especially because we opted to print this beautiful detail using silver foil. The rest of the invitation was printed digitally, which allowed the foil to truly shine. To make the invitation feel even more elegant, the piece was layered on top of navy metallic card stock, and a bellyband and custom monogram completed the look.
Judy and Alain’s October 8, 2016 wedding day at St. Thomas of Villanova Church and Malvern’s Desmond Hotel was one of my favorites of the fall season, and I can’t wait for you to see all of the lovely invitation details captured below by Carly Fuller Photography!
