I love designing wedding invitation suites for couples who are celebrating their wedding day at what I always think of as quintessential Philadelphia venues. One of those quintessential spaces that always comes to my mind is Finley Catering’s Ballroom at the Ben. I’ve talked about the space many times before, but the architecture combined with the incredible location of the venue always lends itself to a classic Philadelphia soiree! Jenna and Greg definitely have timeless classic style in spades.
J+G were not only planning a Ballroom at the Ben wedding reception, but they were also in the midst of planning their ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, New Jersey when we met. They mentioned their desire for a classic, timeless suite, and they loved the idea of including a monogram with a crest at the top of the invitation. At first Jenna thought she wanted something more classic, but during the design process we added flourishes to the invitation and inserts and Jenna and Greg loved the end result of their blush, navy, and gold suite!
We printed Jenna and Greg’s invitation onto cream colored double thick paper. The blush and navy colors, including all of the flourishes and fonts, were all printed digitally. With that said, we did decide to splurge on gold foil stamping for their two-letter monogram! All of the inserts were completely printed digitally. Once the look was complete, we added a soft pink bellyband with their names and wedding date to tie everything together (literally!).
