Heather and Brian celebrated their wedding day with family and friends at Skytop Lodge in the Pocano Mountains. The resort is beautifully historic thanks to its stone exterior, and the grounds are immaculate. Skytop Lodge boasts blooming gardens, a glistening lake, and towering mountains. There are spots to get married outside (the gardens!), and there are plenty of options for receptions. I’m slightly obsessed with this resort, and Heather and Brian could not have gone wrong!
Rather than celebrating their ceremony at Skytop Lodge, H+B opted to recite their vows at The Church of St. Gregory in Clarks Green, Pennsylvania. Post nuptials, the couple returned to Skytop Lodge for their reception in the Evergreen Ballroom. Reading things like “soaring ceilings”, “French doors”, and “perfect for grand weddings” offers such a hint that Heather and Brian’s wedding was not to be missed. And, guests were offered their first peek through the couple’s wedding invitations!
I loved working with Heather and her sweet mom. Both wanted to embrace tradition, but they were both open to adding beautiful touches of elegance. Heather knew she wanted to incorporate navy and a pocketfold, and she also loved her dress. I took their inspiration and ran with it!
H+B’s wedding invitation featured a navy pocketfold topped with a monogram square, and the main invitation and inserts were all tucked inside. In order to continue to incorporate Heather’s love for navy, each piece was letterpressed in navy ink onto bright white cardstock. The invitation was layered onto silver glitter inside of the navy pocketfold. We added dimension to the invitation and monogram square by featuring blind debossed details resembling Heather’s dress on the top and bottom of both pieces. Make sure to look closely at the photos, captured by Haley Richter Photography and styled by Carly is Inspired, because you will see the beauty of this technique!
Heather and Brian, thank you so much for choosing me to design your luxury wedding invitations. I think it’s very clear I loved everything about working with you.
