Weddings account for so much of what I do as a custom stationery designer. I love the work, but I have to confess, I get so excited when I get to work on a project of a different sort. This is especially true when the project involves helping a fellow small business owner with their branding, logo, or a promotional event.
Harris & Tweed Interiors is part of the event planning and design collective Pineapple on Main. The studio is shared by three separate companies, including Harris & Tweed, Events by Renee, and Party Host Helpers. April Lynn Designs has collaborated a few times with Renee Patrone. I even got to interview her on the blog last year!
I’m so pleased to announce that I have also been able to connect with Harris & Tweed, in creating the invitations for their grand opening at Pineapple on Main. The owners, Kathy and Taryn, are amazing ladies! In addition to their interior design and event design business, these two have established Pineapple on Main as the hub for their retail design center, “The Housewarming Hutch”. They use the space to sell home decor and Zest merchandise. Having a studio also gives them a place to meet with clients and show them physical pieces and fabrics.
Manayunk is already abuzz with the news of Harris & Tweed’s success. They were featured in Manayunk.com’s 7-Day Spotlight column, which you can read here! I’m so thrilled that I was able to be involved with them. Their taste level is unmatched, as you can see from the invitation design we worked out. A sparkly navy cardstock is punched up with metallic copper thermography and a subtle tweed-like pattern at the top and bottom.
