Yesterday, I accomplished one of my biggest goals as a custom wedding stationery designer: My work was featured on Style Me Pretty!
In 2014, I was included in the SMP Little Black Book, which was a huge honor in itself. I’m thrilled to continue to receive recognition from such a prestigious wedding resource. This shabby chic shoot is the perfect addition to my portfolio over there, and I just can’t wait to add to it!
The shabby chic aesthetic can be reached in so many different ways. This particular vision included dreamy pastels mixed with wood tones and burlap. These invitations really turned on the charm, from the “All You Need is Love + Cookies” slogan (so true!) to the delicate pink ribbon that tied them together.
The flowers for this shoot were provided by Kristin Rockhill of Details of I do, who also did the event design and styling. Aren’t they amazing? I especially love the bridesmaids’ bouquets and hairpieces. Baby’s breath isn’t just a filler anymore!
As Kay of Kay English Photography explains, “The tables featured an eclectic mix of flowers, colored glass bottles, glass and wood candlesticks, and lushblooms. The table is also styled with vintage plates, stacked books, and candles in every shape and size.
“The baby’s breath runner and tall floral arrangement pack a powerful punch of wow and have a cloudlike ethereal quality. The lush garden roses, ranunculus, and draping greens and hanging amaranthus add a pop of color and a touch of whimsy.”
As with any styled shoot, props really brought this project to the next level. Vinterest Props custom-made a white wash beer garden and a vintage door table for us! We added vintage velvet chairs, a dry sink, a metal gazebo, and reclaimed wood seating to add even more character.
A huge thank-you to all the talented vendors who worked on this shoot:
