When couples ask me for my thoughts on classic wedding palettes, I can always name quite a few. But, there are few color combinations more romantic, feminine, classic, and timeless than blush pink combined with gold. Both are simply gorgeous every time, and I love how the colors so easily transform together through paper for weddings of varied styles. Today I’m sharing how blush and gold can combine together for pure elegance and luxury.
Danielle and Giovanni mentioned their passion for blush pink, but they knew they didn’t want to print their entire suite digitally. In order to add an extra element of luxury, we all decided gold foil was the perfect detail to include. And, include we did! Plus, the main invitation was printed onto thick cream card stock, while the inserts were printed onto slightly thinner card stock. Varied the weight of the paper is another great way to add depth and dimension to your suite!
The flourishes used throughout the main invitation suite and various inserts all introduced their preferred shade of blush pink beautifully. Then all of pertinent details about D+G’s wedding at The Manor in West Orange, New Jersey were printed using gold foil. I love the combination of script and block fonts. Though I have to say, the detail that stands out the most to me is their fabulous two letter monogram that’s highlighted on the top of the invitation. The crest style makes it look almost regal!
