Colleen and Tom’s save the date included all of my favorite things – whimsical design, the Philadelphia skyline, and photos of the couple! Because I adored creating this piece, I thought I would share more about the couple and the inspiration behind the design they sent to their guests to offer a hint about the celebration they would enjoy together at Cescaphe Event Group’s newest venue, The Lucy, over the summer.
In 2008, Colleen and Tom met for the first time at Cabrini University. They didn’t begin dating immediately, but by June 2009 they were officially a couple, and they’ve been together ever since. When they announced their upcoming nuptials to family and friends, they knew Cabrini needed to play a part. But, they also wanted to showcase their love for Philadelphia, where their wedding would later take place, as well as Ocean City, New Jersey, the beach they enjoy exploring together.
The front of Colleen and Tom’s save the date featured the Philadelphia skyline. I loved how we incorporated a line drawing with pops of color – did you notice the LOVE statue? Once their friends and family flipped the card over, they were greeted with engagement photos of the couple in both of their favorite places – Cabrini University and OCNJ. Their design was a wonderful blend of their story and their go-to aesthetic, and I can’t wait for you to see more through the photos Haley Richter Photography captured below.
