One venue I am thrilled to see gaining traction is Skytop Lodge. Located in the Poconos, it’s such a beautiful location that’s not too far away from Bucks County and Philadelphia yet the setting makes it feel worlds away. There’s plenty to do (zip lining, a spa, golf, hiking, and more), and it would make such a fabulous spot for a destination wedding. Caroline and Matt had that exact plan in mind!
C+M celebrated their wedding day on April 27, 2019. Their early spring wedding date meant guests would be happy to get away for a long weekend to celebrate the season and Caroline and Matt’s monumental moment! Because we knew they would need to send quite a lot of information to their guests, a classic invitation with a pocketfold became the very clear choice.
The aesthetic of Skytop Lodge is definitely classic, so we turned to a timeless navy blue and ivory palette and paired the colors with script and block font with a border for the invitation’s main piece. On the back, we added a pocketfold and filled it with all of the necessary inserts. To continue the classic feel, the inserts also included navy and ivory details with the same font styles. To set the look apart, the invitation’s main piece featured letterpress, while the details were digitally printed. It was the perfect mix for this suite, and everything was tucked inside a navy envelope that featured a gold wax seal and the couple’s monogram to complete the look.
From the moment I first met Caroline and her mom until Caroline and Matt’s suite was in the mail, I absolutely adored working with them. Together, they are some of my sweetest clients, and it was truly such a joy to play a role in C+M’s day! I hope you enjoy taking a peek at their suite, which was captured by Haley Richter Photography.
