The greatest thing about technology is the ways in which it connects us. I’m always amazed to learn the far-reaching capabilities of an Instagram post, how a blog post about a suite inspires brides and grooms, and the locations couples decide to explore for the days they say “We do!” as a result of something they saw through April Lynn Designs. One of my recent fun experiences with technology happened thanks to Candice and Dominick!
Candice contacted me after spotting Angela and Blake’s suite on my blog. A+B’s design featured a palette of black, gold, and ivory paired with the Philadelphia skyline. Candice and Dominick announced they wanted to create a similar look and feel for their suite (with a few changes, of course!), and our semi-custom invitation journey together began.
C+D celebrated their wedding day in Newark, New Jersey during their ceremony at Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and their celebration continued during their reception at Washington Township’s Seasons Catering. The New Jersey wedding venue is known for their elegant and refined ballroom, and I could clearly see why the pair were drawn to Angela and Blake’s suite!
Because Candice and Dominick were not planning a Philadelphia wedding day, we omitted the Philadelphia skyline from their bellyband, opting instead for the couple’s names digitally printed in onto black card stock and layered on top of gold glitter paper. The white ink is actually the ivory metallic shimmer paper showing through underneath! The main piece of the suite still featured a similar look with digitally printed block and script fonts onto black paper. Plus, the inserts were still ivory, just like A+B’s suite, and gold glitter paper was still layered throughout.
Candice and Dominick’s triple layer ivory, black, and gold wedding invitation suite offered a great way to preview their glam wedding day to their guests! And, I think you will fall in love with this suite too after taking a peek at the photos Haley Richter Photography captured.
