Brittany and Daniel’s wedding invitation is one of the most elegant suites I have designed to date! When we first met, Brittany mentioned she always dreamed of getting married in Philadelphia and having a ballroom wedding. Not only did I design their invitation, but I also designed their save the date too! During our initial meeting, Brittany mentioned she and Dan were planning a luxury ballroom wedding at Philadelphia’s famed Crystal Tea Room. They wanted to offer their guests a stunning first impression of their wedding day, so I set out to design a suite that was as unique as it was regal.
B+D announced their wedding colors were black and gold, and I couldn’t think of a better color palette for a luxurious wedding. To make sure to incorporate the gold in the most beautiful way possible, we all agreed we should turn to gold foil. We paired the foil with black digital printing for the main invitation piece as well as the RSVP card. To add even more interest, we opted to alternate black and ivory inserts – something I introduced previously and was thrilled to do again!
To complete Brittany and Daniel’s regal look, the entire suite was assembled in a pocketfold. Because I never feel a pocketfold is complete without a bellyband, we added a gold bellyband topped with a gold monogram square printed with their names and wedding date. The entire suite was placed inside a black envelope. My favorite detail was their envelope liner, which featured their elegant gold two letter monogram! Who wouldn’t start counting down the days until a wedding day, especially when it begins with a ceremony at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, if you received a piece as beautiful as this one?
I hope you fall in love with B+D’s suite after taking a peek at the photos captured by Haley Richter Photography!
