If there’s one destination of the east coast that should be on your bucket list to visit, it has to be Maine. Whether you’re exploring the mountains and parks or visiting any of the shorelines, the vistas and landscapes are all equally as stunning. It’s amazing how much the coastline can change when you’re still on the same coast and part of the same time zone!
Barb and Jim also fell in love with Maine, so on August 10, 2018 they welcomed their friends and family to Bar Harbor for their destination fete. The illustration on their invitation is one of the most striking parts, and that’s due to the watercolor artist Barb hired to paint the details. We used the illustration throughout their invitation’s main piece and again on the suite’s bellyband that kept the pocketfold closed. The details were all printed digitally onto ivory card stock complete with navy ink.
While designing, I was treated to my own sneak peek of their destination weekend. Guests enjoyed a welcome dinner as well as the wedding itself at the Bar Harbor Inn. However, the fun didn’t end after the ceremony and reception. Instead, the events continued well into the weekend with brunch at the Inn followed by a lighthouse cruise. I so wish I could have attended, but their invitation offered so many wonderful hints.
