I’m a huge fan of the by-brides for-brides wedding blog It’s A Bride’s Life. Imagine how thrilled I was when one of their bride bloggers asked me to design her Bucks County wedding stationery!

It’s A Bride’s Life was created by celebrity wedding planner David Tutera. Each blogger is a real-life bride, and they all blog under a pseudonym that reflects the theme of their wedding, i.e. Miss Creative Bride or Miss Rustic Chic Bride.

Miss Romantic Bride, aka Stephanie, actually lives just down the street from April Lynn Designs. She’s getting married in September of 2014, and we’re designing her invitations as well as her day-of stationery.

Stephanie and her fiance, Dave, are high school sweethearts, and their romance couldn’t be more Philly. Dave proposed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and their venue is the Independence Seaport Museum on Penn’s Landing. Stephanie reports that Dave wanted a water-adjacent venue while she wanted to get married in the city, making this location perfect! It’s situated on the Delaware River, offering amazing views, nautical exhibits, and spacious outdoor terraces.

Stephanie definitely fits the title of Miss Romantic Bride! Her wedding colors are purple, lavender, and silver, and she got her David Tutera for Mon Cheri wedding gown from The Perfect Dress. She also plans on incorporating nautical details into her wedding, both because of its location and her fiance’s obsession with boats and fishing. Pearls will also make an appearance, as will candle lanterns, a photo booth, flowers courtesy of Petals Lane, and the Philadelphia String Quartet will play during their ceremony.

They also plan on using a Fisherman’s Knot ceremony to cement their union, which is such a romantic idea! It’s similar to the handfasting ceremony, which has roots in early English and Irish marriage traditions. The fisherman’s knot is known as the strongest in existence, and symbolize the strength of a couple’s love.

As you can see, Stephanie and Dave have almost all of their wedding details finalized. Only three more months to go! I can’t wait to share my work with you guys here on the blog.
