If you’re searching for a hotel ballroom for your wedding that will make a complete statement, I hope the Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia is on your list. The hotel feels opulent with just the right amount of glam, and the location is so hard to beat! Plus, the ballrooms are luxurious and spacious, which is the perfect mixture for those planning either large or intimate celebrations.
Amber and Jarred both felt the Loews Hotel was a wonderful location for their September 22, 2018 ceremony and reception. So, we set out to create a classic wedding invitation suite that still incorporated beautiful and unique elements to ensure their pieces stood out to their guests while still staying true to their classic theme. To do this, we turned to a black and gold foil palette with plenty of layering and monogram pieces.
The invitation was printed using digital printing techniques, but we turned to gold foil for A+J’s names to enhance the main piece. The first layer featured ivory paper, and the piece continued with a middle layer of gold mirror paper and a back layer of ultra black card stock. Using a cohesive, elegant variety of colors helped us to add interest and intrigue, which only continued throughout the inserts.
The same ivory metallic paper used for the invitation was repeated again for the RSVP card and monogram square. Additionally, gold foil was introduced again on the accommodations card. This time, the piece featured gold foil printed onto ultra black paper. The color story continued through the ivory envelope, which all of the pieces were tucked inside, and the luxe feel was completed with black addressing.
Ivory, black, and gold are appropriate all year long, but the palette proved to be a go-to for later summer and early fall weddings. It’s a trend I hope repeats again this year!
