There’s just something about blush and gold, but today’s suite has a few fun twists that make this design a new and different take on a very popular color palette. It’s time to introduce you to Allison and Sal’s wedding invitation suite and the details that inspired it.
A+S celebrated the start of their union on July 22, 2017 during their ceremony at St. Katherine of Siena. Once they were an official married pair, Allison and Sal traveled with their guests to the beautiful Pen Ryn Estate in Bensalem. Before I go any further, I have to say this: if you are planning a Bucks County wedding, you have to consider Pen Ryn Estate. It’s a beautiful mansion, and it represents a wonderful option if you’re planning an elegant, ballroom style wedding. Plus, Pen Ryn Estate overlooks the Delaware River! You truly cannot go wrong.
With luxury and elegance as two of our points of inspiration, Allison, her Mom, and I began exploring options for their wedding invitation suite. Allison is a fellow glitter fan (something I will forever love about her!), so her invitation had to include lots of glitz and glam. She also mentioned she loves florals, so it only made sense to combine glitter and flowers together into one invitation design.
Rather than using black font, we chose something a little different – navy – and it paired beautifully with the blush and gold colors of the suite. We printed the invitation on a gold shimmer ivory card stock to make sure gold was tied into each element, and we layered the main invitation piece onto gold glitter. The final detail was a blush clutch, so the invitation would have a place in the back for the inserts.
Filled with so much detail and intricacies, Allison and Sal’s wedding invitation was one of my favorites of the season! Make sure to take a peek below at the photos Carly Fuller Photography captured. Something Blu Weddings + Events, thank you for sending Allison and Sal my way!
