Alison and Guillaume have one of the most romantic love stories I’ve ever heard. That alone got me excited to design their custom wedding invitations!
Alison quit her job to spend a few weeks hiking in Nepal. Who knew her adventurous spirit would lead her to love? During her travels, she kept running into a certain handsome Frenchman. They did eventually return to their home countries, but kept their relationship alive long-distance. Guillaume proposed to Alison while she was visiting Paris, and the rest is history.
When Alison returned from her trip, she set about starting her own fashion line: the Philadelphia-made Toggery. Her sense of fashion informed the color story for her custom wedding invitations. The central color is Strawberry Ice, a refreshing yet warm shade from the Pantone Spring 2015 palette.
Guillaume and Alison’s wedding took place at Alison’s parents’ home in West Chester on May 9th, 2015. It was an intimate ceremony, followed by a more inclusive reception at the Morris House Hotel. The invitations were bi-lingual, to accommodate both families. I letterpressed them with both Strawberry Ice and navy ink, including the same peony motif from Alison and Guillaume’s save the dates. The inserts, including a custom map, were printed digitally.
Alison and Guillaume, if your wedding was half as romantic as your love story, it was one for the ages! I hope your first year of marriage has been magical.
