Tonia of Aribella Events is one of my favorite professionals to work with. I collaborated her on the Industrial Glam shoot. Her ability to curate details always makes for an incredible finished product! This time around, we worked on an Alice in Wonderland styled shoot. It was even featured on WeddingWire! You can check out the video here.
“When it comes to Alice in Wonderland, the unusual and unexplainable become commonplace,” says Tonia. For example, “what if Alice was a bride and what if the Mad Hatter was her groom? What would their wedding look like?”
Rich purples with orange accents were our color story. I created invitations that brought it to life. The circular motley design with roman numerals evoked the clock motif. It shows up a lot during this shoot!
The bride wore a tea-length gown by Watters, accented with lace. Her amazing cascading bouquet was constructed with grapevine tendrils, white and ascot roses, pincushion protea, Japanese lanterns, gladiolas, mini calla lilies, and allium.
The groom’s accessories brought a bit of a steampunk feel to the shoot. After all, who would the Mad Hatter be without his top hat?
The custom menus I created for this shoot matched our invitations. They fit in perfectly on this eclectic table! Tonia is great at mixing patterns and textures while still maintaining a cohesive vision.
A styled shoot isn’t complete without pretty desserts! Brooklyn Girl Bakery created our cake, complete with clocks, crawling vines, and keys. Tonia set up our dessert table with a few whimsical details. The champagne and platter of macaroons both had tags I created that said “Eat me!” and “Drink me!”
Thanks to all who participated in this shoot! All of you are so talented. I’m glad I got to be part of this!
