Happy Halloween, friends! I’ve decided there won’t be any tricks today – only treats! And, this floral wedding invitation suite is one of them. I loved everything about Alexandria and Steven’s suite. In fact, I still do! So, I’m thrilled to start your Halloween off in the sweetest way by sharing all of the details behind A+S’s design with photos by Carly Fuller Photography.
Alexandria and Steven celebrated their wedding day during the summer – July 21, 2017 to be exact – so combining bright colors with softer hues was definitely in order. Plus, Alexandria hoped to achieve a rustic chic vibe with the pair’s wedding invitation because guests would be joining them at Thousand Acre Farm in Middletown, Delaware. She also mentioned how much she is inspired by flowers. You do not have to mention flowers to me twice!
I took all of Alexandria and Steven’s inspiration to heart while designing their suite. The flowers you see throughout are watercolor blooms – a detail that allowed them to appear lifelike, whimsical, and rustic all at once. The fonts we used had a rustic vibe too, but they also had a sweetness about them that suited the suite beautifully. And, I would be remiss not to mention two of my favorite details – the lace that turned into the bellyband and the floral and script monogram that tied everything together with pink twine. Oh how I wish I could have been one of the guests to receive this invitation tucked inside an envelope lined with blush pink paper!
Alexandria and Steven, there aren’t enough glowing words that I can use to describe you or how honored I was and still am to have been entrusted with your wedding stationery. Between your stationery and your gorgeous Delaware wedding venue (plus the two of you!), I have no doubt your celebration was what dreams are made of.
