When I’m designing wedding stationery, my goal is always to bring out the couple’s style in the best way possible. Sometimes that means creating a luxurious suite, other times I’m creating pieces with pops of color, and then there are moments when the task at hand is to showcase the very best of modern, minimalist style. Today’s save the date is all about the latter!
Alexandra and Max were planning their wedding day at The Warrington when we met. It’s a beautiful space located on several acres in Bucks County where you can choose to enjoy your ceremony outside before stepping inside with your guests for your reception. They wanted to offer their friends and family a sneak peek into what to expect on their wedding day (it ended up getting postponed due to Covid), so we turned to a simple design that still embraced color, shimmer, and a few fun fonts.
A and M’s save the date was printed onto light gray shimmery cardstock (a small and favorite detail). Then we added their wedding date, names, wedding location, and a note about the invitation that was to come in a soft block font. “Save the date” was the sole section that was added in a script font, and I love how much it stands out! Everything was printed digitally in navy ink, and I think it was such a sweet look for a spring wedding day.
Haley Richter Photography photographed this simple yet impactful save-the-date, and her captures are below for you to see and enjoy! If you’re planning a modern or minimalist wedding, I hope you feel inspired.
