Although Alana and James spent part of high school with the same group of friends, it wasn’t until they reconnected after graduating that they realized they have plenty in common. They both grew up attending Catholic school and exploring their favorite hometown city, Philadelphia. Plus, they learned they both love cheering for the same teams (Go Birds!) and traveling to the shore (Ocean City to be specific!) where they celebrated their engagement. When it came time to choose where to celebrate their wedding day, Old Saint Mary’s Church and Cescaphe’s Tendenza were easy decision to make.
With A+J’s wedding locations in mind, our next step was to determine their wedding style. They both pointed to their love of clean lines and shades of classic, elegant colors, like black, silver, and light blue. Of course, a few timeless and iconic Philadelphia nods needed to be included as well!
Alana and James debuted a digitally printed wedding invitation to their guests that had fun pops of silver foil. The inserts were all printed in black ink, and many included famous Philadelphia landmarks and scenes, like the LOVE logo, Liberty Bell, and the skyline. To truly make a statement, we chose to use silver foil on the main invitation piece, which also featured text printed in black to continue the clean lines look. All of the pieces stayed together, thanks to the bellyband, which featured the couple’s two letter monogram in script font along with their September wedding date.
