Greetings and hello. My name is Danielle Pasternak, owner of Danielle Pasternak Wedding Coordination, but most call me “dpnak” (pronounced: dee – PEE – nack). Based of Scranton, Pennsylvania, I have clients nationwide that are planning their weddings throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York and I adore each of them dearly.
My love for weddings began at a young age when I would play dress up with my grandparents. They would be the bride and groom and I would stand on the sidelines and direct the whole process. As I grew older, my dance career came to a halt when I experienced a major injury. From there, I quit every job I had and drove across country and back for 41 days in my little Toyota Prius with a friend. I saw major cities, hiked through the Rocky Mountains, grew my love for Rapid Roulette in Vegas and New Orleans, and really took time to do some soul-searching. Once I realized that I could pursue my dream of wedding planning (and it wasn’t just something you saw in the movies) I dove in head first and never looked back.
There are about a million things that I love about what I do. From the clients I have, to the places they choose to get married, to the other creative professionals I get to work with. There is nothing greater than putting together a team of amazing professionals and letting us all do what we do best and love. There is also something incredibly special and humbling about being able to witness one of the most important days in so many couples’ lives. To see a bride and groom stand and profess their love for each other in front of their family and friends is just beautiful.
Nope! My specialty is weddings. It’s what I enjoy most and what I focus all of my energy on. The only other kinds of events I do on occasion are display showers.
One of my brides truly said it best, “your wedding day is just another 24 hours of your life”. Now, that’s not to devalue the day, but the day will go by just as quick (if not quicker) than any other day. Take time to breathe deep, take in the moment, and really be grateful for all of those that came to celebrate around you. I’d also have to say that you should make sure to hire a team of vendors that you love. If you don’t gel with them, it’s not a good fit and the result with reflect that. Finally, my biggest piece of advice: hire a bomb-diggity wedding coordinator.
Thanks for this! xo.
You’re welcome! XO
