When I met with Sarah and Ryan, they both noted how much they hoped to mail their guests a modern wedding invitation suite. We talked about color palettes and details, and they were also quick to note they loved gold foil, grey tones, and florals. With these pieces as fantastic points of inspiration, I started designing!
Sarah and Ryan’s invitation proves that a modern invite can be both bold and feminine at the same time. I’m so drawn toward their dark grey bellyband complete with gold foil flowers. I think it makes such a bold statement that’s also so pretty. This piece introduced guests to the suite, and the next modern touch recipients noticed is the invitation’s orientation. I designed a horizontal piece, which was such a fun departure! The main invitation also featured gold foil, and I adore the script font that’s used throughout. Plus, the simplicity of the gold on the neutral card stock allows the gold and the font to stand out even more. The grey color palette continued onto the inserts, which were printed digitally using grey ink. The entire suite was placed in a light grey envelope complete with a floral envelope liner (the same colors and patterns used on the bellyband!) and dark grey calligraphy.
