I think it’s safe to say one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Philadelphia area is Cairnwood Estate. Located in Bryn Athyn outside of the city, the property allows visitors to feel as though they’ve taken a trip across the pond to Europe without ever setting foot on a plane. During the day, the exterior of the estate takes on a warm buttery yellow shade that exudes warmth, and the expansive grounds always look beautifully lush, especially during the spring and summer. A tent is a popular sight to see on the terrace during wedding season, and another wonderful benefit is the beautiful church, Bryn Athyn Cathedral, that sits on the grounds minutes away. This property is unlike anything else I have ever experienced, so I am always thrilled when couples announce they will be celebrating there! And, Sara and Ross made one such announcement!
S+R celebrated their wedding day on Memorial Day Weekend in 2019. We had hoped they would enjoy beautiful weather, and we also wanted to celebrate the fact that the gardens would be in bloom. So, we all quickly decided a custom pink magnolia invitation suite was a must!
When guests opened the invitation suite, they were greeted by magnolia flowers on the envelope liner. Then we carried the same floral touch throughout the main invitation suite and the details. Plus, we also chose to incorporate one of my favorite illustrations, a venue illustration of Cairnwood Estate!
To allow the shades of pink to truly shine, the entire invitation was printed in tan, a beautiful neutral color, onto natural white cardstock. We turned to pink again for the bellyband, which featured a soft pink and was enhanced by the couple’s monogram.
Sara and Ross’s celebration was truly a garden inspired affair, and I’m happy to report they did enjoy beautiful weather! She walked down the aisle inside Bryn Athyn Cathedral, they captured plenty of portraits outside with Keristin of Haley Richter Photography, and they celebrated during their reception by debuting a choreographed first dance and sharing dinner on the terrace underneath string lights with all of their guests.
As you can tell, this wedding was a special one, and the pink stationery suite feels perfect to share in honor of Valentine’s Day. Congratulations, Sara and Ross! xo
