Remember Jeanine and Nick’s Wedding Invitation Suite? I created them using silver foil stamping and the blind letterpress technique. Well for Reneé and Daniel, it was love at first sight! They asked me to create a similar invitation suite, using gold foil instead of silver foil.
Renee and Dan were married on August 1, 2015 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their reception was held at Vista Room Top of the Tower also located in Philadelphia. Top of the Tower has been hosting weddings since 1995. The Vista Room opened in May of 2013 representing a greatly expanded and beautifully finished space. The expanded room, capturing the entire west end of the 50th floor and including full wrap around floor to ceiling windows had been a long time dream of the Top of the Tower proprietors, J. Mickey Rowley and Louisa Kochman.
Reneé and Dan had an elegant wedding with a teal and gold theme. They wanted to incorporate gold foil into their wedding invitation, and I have to say, the result was absolutely stunning! I created a gold foil design, and then blind letterpressed a lace pattern into the background of the invitation. I bound them with beautiful white lace. A gold glitter band was placed on top of the lace and a simple teal bow finished everything.
The envelope liners were also also teal, with guests’ addresses printed in gold on the front of the envelopes.
